“Bringing Fairtrade to the Workplace” as our motto suggests, sums up what we are about. 

In 2002 our founder set about testing the waters to see whether Fairtrade coffee and tea etc. would be warmly received by the workplace sector.

Based upon the momentum that had been gathering in charity shops, such as Oxfam and selected supermarkets, i.e. The Co-operative, both of whom had been promoting Fairtrade for a number of years, and coupled with our founder’s experience working over several years in both Ghana and Malawi, Bean & Leaf was created with the sole aim of introducing Fairtrade as a viable alternative to the mainstream coffee companies.

With a 100% commitment to Fairtrade, we work very closely with leading Fairtrade brands, such as Cafedirect, Clipper, Traidcraft and Divine Chocolate as well as producing our own label Fairtrade Bean & Leaf branded coffees.

Our secondary goal has always been to dispel the myth that Fairtrade is more expensive than non-Fairtrade products, something which in the early days a number of companies were keen to suggest.

To supplement our Fairtrade offer, we also provide the necessary ancillary items, ranging from Cafedirect branded cups to Red Tractor assured semi skimmed milk portions from Dairystix, together with coffee brewers and the latest Bean2Cup cappuccino machines, all of which enable our customers to make the transition to Fairtrade straight-forward.
